The much-awaited PSC Athletics Champions Club officially opened for use to Champions Club members on Saturday, Jan. 11, with the start of PSC’s 2025 Panhandle Conference basketball schedule.
The luxury sports lounge is an exclusive retreat for Champions Club members and their guests on game days. Located steps away from the sidelines of Hartsell Arena, the lounge offers an elevated experience with premium food and beverages in a sophisticated setting, perfect for enjoying the excitement of the game in style.
PSC Athletic Director Bryan Lewallyn is pleased with how the space is coming along. “It’s something that sets us apart from other athletic departments, having a space to really recognize our high-level donors and boosters. The room is tastefully done and is really a great place to relax, have some fun, watch a game, and chat with others. It’s another step in the direction of the quality that we want to showcase here at Pensacola State.”
The lounge space is designed for comfort right off the court. It includes premium leather furniture, an 85” television for the ultimate Pirate games viewing experience, and two additional televisions for other sporting events. Hailey Lotz, Executive Director for Development, Alumni and Athletics, said, “We know they are passionate sports fans, through and through, so we make sure they can stay updated on the national action while they come out to cheer on the Pirates.”
There is a kitchen space with tables and chairs where people can eat delicious premium food and beverage offerings that people can’t get elsewhere. They can have that smaller quiet space and bring a friend.
There is also a conference table they can use to sit down and eat, and Champion Club members can also reserve that conference space, free of charge, for their own personal use, except on game days. It’s a dedicated space for socializing and something that is just for them.
“We will have an official ribbon cutting and naming of this space later this spring, the date yet to be determined. For now, we want our premium donors to relax and enjoy this luxury space just for them as our way of saying ‘thank you’ for all their support,” confirmed Lotz.
