Pensacola State College announced proposed lab fee changes for courses for students enrolled in the Nursing and Allied Health programs.
The College’s District Board of Trustees will vote on the fee changes at the Tuesday, June 18, meeting set for 5:30 p.m. on the Pensacola campus. If approved by the Board of Trustees, the new fees will take effect for the Fall 2024 Semester.
The Nursing Department courses and proposed changes include:
- NUR 1020C – Introduction to Nursing lab fee decreases to $363 from $435.
Reason: Remove Evolve and HESI products and CastleBranch increase
- NUR 2003C – Career Mobility Nursing Concepts lab fee decreases to $363 from $371.
Reason: Remove Evolve and HESI products and CastleBranch increase
- NUR 2214C – Adult Health Nursing II lab fee decreases to $67 from $160.
Reason: Remove Evolve and HESI products
- NUR 2810C – Transitional Practice Preceptorship lab fee increases to $468 from $360.
Reason: Remove Evolve and HESI products; add $10, CB Bridges; $368 HURST – NCLEX License Review
- PRN 0098C – Practical Nursing Foundations I lab fee decreases to $207 from $325.
Reason: Change in publisher’s availability and streamlines payment for student
- PRN 0290C – Medical Surgical Nursing I lab fee decreases to $0 from $37.
Reason: Remove Evolve and HESI products
- PRN 0291C – Medical Surgical Nursing II lab fee decreases to $0 from $37.
Reason: Remove Evolve and HESI products
- PRN 0690C – Comprehensive Nursing and Transitional Skills lab fee decreases to $278 from $280.
Reason: Remove Evolve and HESI products; Add Hurst – NCLEX License Review
- PRN 0099C – Practical Nursing Foundations II lab fee decreases to $0 from $37.
Reason: Remove Evolve and HESI products.
The Allied Health Department courses and updated and new proposed changes include:
- MEA 0541C – EKG Technician lab fee increases to $146 from $140.
Reason: CastleBranch increase.
- MEA 0521C – Phlebotomist, MA lab fee increases to $343 from $337.
Reason: CastleBranch increase.
- EMS 1411L – EMT Clinical Internship lab fee increases to $177 from $171.
Reason: CastleBranch Increase.
