Pensacola State announced proposed fee changes for 21 Course Lab Fees for students enrolled in the College’s Health Science programs.
The College’s District Board of Trustees will vote on the fee changes at the Tuesday, April 18, meeting set for 5:30 p.m. on the Milton campus. If approved by the Board of Trustees, the new fees will take effect on May 15, 2023 – the start of the Summer 2023 Semester.
The courses and proposed changes include the following:
- HSC 0003C Basic Healthcare lab fee increases to $65 from $50.
Reason: The CPR training price has increased to $60 from $45.
- DES 1000 Dental Anatomy lab fee increases to $206 from $201.
Reason: On Dec. 15, the urine drug tests increased to $34 from $29.
- EMS 1411L EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) Clinical Internship lab fee increases to $171 from $166.
Reason: On Dec. 15, the urine drug tests increased to $34 from $29.
- MEA 0541C EKG Technician lab fee increases to $140 from $135.
Reason: On Dec. 15, the urine drug tests increased to $34 from $29.
- HIM 2820L HIT (Health Information Technology) Professional Practice III lab fee increases to $140 from $135.
Reason: On Dec. 15, the urine drug tests increased to $34 from $29.
- MEA 0521C Phlebotomist, Medical Assisting lab fee increases to $337 from $332.
Reason: On Dec. 15, the urine drug tests increased to $34 from $29.
- EMS 2231L Paramedic Lab I fee increases to $274 from $269.

- PTN 1001 Introduction to Pharmacy lab fee increases to $130 from $125.

- MEA 0520C Phlebotomist lab fee increases to $337 from $332.

- PHT 1251L Basic Skills in Patient Care lab fee increases to $160 from $155.

- PRN 0291C Medical Surgical Nursing II lab fee decreases to $37 from $280.

- PRN 0690C Comprehensive Nursing and Transitional Skills lab fee increases to $280 from $37.
Reasons: Two-day Live HESI Review $206 and 2 HESI Exams $74.
- RTE 1804L Radiology Clinic I lab fee increases to $230 from $225.
Reason: On Dec. 15, the urine drug tests increased to $34 from $29.
- NUR 1020C Introduction to Nursing lab fee increases to $435 from $430.
Reason: On Dec. 15, the urine drug tests increased to $34 from $29.
- SON 1100C Principles and Protocols of Sonography lab fee increases to $165 from $160.

- ATE 1650C Introduction to Clinical Procedures lab fee increases to $160 from $155.

- STS 2947L Surgical Procedure Capstone lab fee increases to $257 from $0.
Reasons: CB Bridges $10 and Certified Surgical Technology licensure exam $247.
