Pensacola State College will present the Pensacola Guitar Orchestra at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, March 30, in Ashmore Auditorium.
The orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Joe Stallings, will present its 36th Annual Spring Recital. Admission is free. Ashmore Auditorium is in Building 8 on the Pensacola campus at 1000 College Blvd.
Performing in the recital are Pensacola State students: Peg Barrett, Patrick Kinnell, Wayne Brouillette, Jackson Talamo, Brenan Woody, Jacob Graffrath and Joanna Dimick.
Also performing are the 2019 Pensacola Finger Style Acoustic Guitar Competition champions ─ first-prize winner, Benjamin Kennington, 13; second-prize winner, Isaac Railing, 11; and third-prize winner, Israel Railing, 11.
The orchestra will perform works from a variety of composers including John Lennon and Paul McCartney, Jürg Kindle, Dr. Joe Stallings, Nikita Koshkin, Roger Hudson, Johann Sebastian Bach, Jorge Morel, Fernando Sor, Matteo Carcassi and Simone Iannarelli.
