Raphaël Feuillâtre, Guitar Foundation of America 2018 Rose Augustine Grand Prize, will perform on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 27-28, at Pensacola State College.
The Friday concert is set for noon in Ashmore Auditorium, Building 8, on the Pensacola campus at 1000 College Blvd. The Saturday concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium.
A Paris-based virtuoso of the classical guitar, Feuillâtre was born in 1996 and started classical guitar lessons at age 9. In 2017, he won first place in the International Guitar Competition Jose Tomas – Villa Petrer in Spain, and third place in Kutna Hora International Biennial Guitar Competition in the Czech Republic.
In 2018, at age 22, he won first place in the Guitar Foundation of American 2018 competition, which includes a 50-city tour and a recording contract. He is also a laureate of International Guitar competitions in Viseu, Portugal, Coria, Spain, and Fontenay-sous-Bois, France.
Tickets are $11, adults; $9, seniors, children and non-PSC students; $7 for PSC Seniors Club members, PSC Alumni Association members, and PSC faculty and staff.
Admission is free for PSC students with current ID. Tickets must be picked up from the Lyceum Ticket Office.
