Pensacola State College donors were treated to various hors d’oeuvres during the President’s Circle Appreciation Reception held July 24 in the Delaino Student Center on the Pensacola campus.
Culinary and Hospitality Program students created one-of-a-kind appetizers and sweet treats for the “A Toast To Your Generosity”-themed event. A Curious Wine Shop provided a delightful wine tasting, and Old Hickory Whiskey Bar hosted a whiskey bar. The event also featured lively music and culinary raffles.
Culinary student Rayshawn Stallings’s selection of appetizers was chosen as the crowd favorite. He received a $500 cash prize. Neia Lewis earned second place and received a $250 cash prize.
Other culinary arts students preparing the hors d’oeuvres were Barbara Alisme, Justin Cobb, Emilia Collins, Patricia Kelley, Jordan Lewis, Marquez Lawler, Steven Ortiz, Javier Ruiz, Kyler Sohns and Leonardo Mendoza Zaragoza.
Participating hospitality students were Alana Dostal, Clayton Harrell, Tristan Hunter, Gideon Innis, Jo-Naé MacArthur, Harley Walker, Stone Worth, James Bates, Ebony Coger, LaShonda Lara, Joyce Lockamy, Jazarae Pearson, Inessa Thibault and Allison Whitfield.
Garde Manger: Graze, Grapes, & Grains is an annual celebration, hosted by Dr. Meadows where the College expresses gratitude to supporters who help fund scholarships, support faculty professional development, and provide financial assistance and services for infrastructure.
