What does it mean to be a ‘wise’ person, and how exactly does one acquire wisdom? Can anyone become wise? Join us as we seek wisdom about wisdom!

After movies like The Matrix or Inception, we all want to know whether we are living in a simulation, in a dream, or in reality. But what is reality anyway? Do we all have our own reality, or do we share the same reality? Are some things more ‘real’ than other things? Are there meaningful differences between Reality, Existence, the World, or the Universe? Join us as we try to get real, and keep it real, in our discussion about reality!

Philosophers have pondered happiness since time immemorial, but how do we think about happiness today? Do we all strive to be happy? Is happiness something unique or particular to everyone, or are there universal standards or conditions for what constitutes happiness? Is happiness simply a matter of choice and state of mind, or is happiness something that must be earned? Hey all you shiny happy people out there, join hands as we discuss the nature of happiness!

We often talk about justice as a legal, political, or social issue. But what is justice anyway? Is there an objective measure for what justice is, or is justice a social construct relative to each community? Are vigilante justice, street justice, and poetic justice legitimate forms of justice? Members of the jury, join us as we deliberate on the nature of justice!

As faculty, staff, and students at PSC, we are all intimately familiar with the world of education. But how many of us can provide a clear, precise, and robust account of what education is in the first place? Are there any core values or principles at the heart of education? Is education simply a matter of acquiring knowledge and a certain set of skills? Is education something like an object that one can ‘get’ or ‘receive?’ Do we need to go to a college or university to be educated? Join us as we try to learn about education!

The 2026 PSC Athletics Hall of Fame Ceremony will take place on September 24 at 12:00 PM at the Jean and Paul Amos Studio at WSRE. Four outstanding individuals will be inducted into the PSC Athletics Hall of Fame:

This exciting evening will help kick off the 2026–2027 athletic seasons and bring together boosters, fans, supporters, student-athletes, and coaches. Guests will have the opportunity to hear from our coaches, meet our student-athletes, and celebrate the newest members of the PSC Athletics Hall of Fame.
