Pensacola State College celebrated employees marking milestone years of service and six Employee of the Year honorees during the annual Employee Service Awards ceremony held on April 22 in the Jean & Paul Amos Performance Studio on the Pensacola campus.
Special recognition and a moment of silence were offered in remembrance of the event’s long-time committee chair, Donna Davidson, also an Employee of the Year award honoree this year, whose sudden passing occurred days before the event.
PSC Human Resources Director Tammy Henderson and PSC President Ed Meadows, Ed.D., gave welcome remarks before the awards presentation conducted by Meadows, Business Affairs Vice President Anita Kovacs and Baccalaureate Services & Academic Support Dean Kirk Bradley, Ed.D.
For years of service, the awards were presented as follows.
Five-Year Honorees: Jasmine Brown, Shannon Dullard, Caresse Galiza, Patricia Gandolfo, Teresa, Gassman, Douglas Holsworth, Michael House, David Jackson, Desiree Jobling, Andrea Johnson, Anita Kovacs, Patricia Martinez, Heather McIntyre, Roy Milam, Briana Moore, Sheri Porreca, Wes Potter, Patricia Robare, Sam Smith, Stacey Stewart, Nelson Stewart, Andre Thé, Lisa Von Dyke and Brenda Wood.

30-Year Honorees: Jeremy Carr, Brenda Kelly, Mary Anne Petruska and Brian Rucker.
Employee of the Year award recipients were selected based on their exemplary leadership, professionalism and commitment to advancing the college’s mission. Employee of the Year awards were presented in two categories:
Career Service Honorees: Human Resources Specialist Donna Davidson, Human Resources; Executive Assistant Pam Flanagan, Health Sciences; and Executive Assistant Tracy Hunter, Workforce Education.
Professional/Managerial Honorees: Donor Relations Director Laura Hill-Hanson, Institutional Development; Marketing and College Information Coordinator Mary Riker, Marketing and Communications; and Assistant Dean Mitzie Sowell, Health Sciences.
