INTRODUCTION
This program is suggested for students who wish to pursue an AA degree with a concentration in philosophy. It will provide an excellent basis for anyone who plans to continue toward a higher degree in the liberal arts or the humanities.
Students should consult with an advisor at the college or university they plan to attend for the specific courses recommended by that institution. We strongly encourage you to contact the Pensacola State College History/Languages/Social Sciences Department for assistance in planning your program of study.
Occupations
Regulatory Affairs Manager
Plan, direct, or coordinate production activities of an organization to ensure compliance with regulations and standard operating procedures.
Curator
Administer collections, such as artwork, collectibles, historic items, or scientific specimens of museums or other institutions.
Archivist
Appraise, edit, and direct safekeeping of permanent records and historically valuable documents. Participate in research activities based on archival materials.
Secondary School Teacher, Except Special and Career/Technical Education
Teach students in one or more subjects, such as English, mathematics, or social studies at the secondary level in public or private schools.
History Teacher, Postsecondary
Teach courses in human history and historiography. Includes both teachers primarily engaged in teaching and those who do a combination of teaching and research.
