To help students make a positive first impression in the workplace, Pirates CARE is accepting donations of new or gently used professional apparel.
Students at Pensacola State College can prepare for job interviews and career opportunities with professional attire assistance through the Pirates CARE PSC Campus Career Closet, located in Building 5 on the Pensacola campus.
The Career Closet provides students with access to professional clothing donated by PSC employees and community members. Any currently enrolled student is eligible for Pirates CARE services, including browsing, trying on and keeping clothing items at no cost.
To help these students make a positive first impression in the workplace, Pirates CARE is accepting donations of new or gently used professional apparel. Needed items include all sizes of dresses, women’s tops and blouses, men’s polo shirts, and men’s and women’s dress shoes.
Donations may be dropped off at the following locations:
- Pensacola Campus, Building 5
- Milton Campus, Building 4000
- Warrington Campus, Building 3600
- Century Center Main Office
The Pirates CARE Student Resource Center was established in 2023 as a one-stop hub to support students facing challenges that could affect their academic and personal success. Those challenges can include food insecurity, housing concerns, transportation issues, healthcare needs, anxiety, depression, grief, substance use and other stressful life experiences.
In addition to the PSC Campus Career Closet, Pirates CARE provides a variety of free services for students, including campus food pantries, connections to community resources for basic needs support, and confidential mental health counseling available in person or through telehealth services.
On the Pensacola campus, the Pirates CARE Student Resource Center is located within the Jill and Grover C. Robinson, IV Student Leadership & Activities Office in Building 5. The space also features a student lounge, family-friendly study area, and computers that help students connect with campus and community resources. All other PSC campuses and centers, students have access to campus food pantries, while the Warrington campus also hosts a satellite Pirates CARE Office in the Student Center.
