Eight outstanding Pensacola State College students were honored at the annual 100 for 100 Campaign scholarship awards ceremony held March 7 in the Jean and Paul Amos Performance Studio at WSRE-TV. The PSC Black History/Multicultural Committee, led by Chairperson Veronica Jennings, presented the ceremony.
Sophomore women’s basketball guard Katiya Casey (#3) may be a familiar face to sports fans, but there is more to this dynamic young lady than knowing how to lead a team on the court. A Crestview native, Katiya wanted to play basketball for PSC so her family could travel easily to watch her play.
A local favorite for many, Jaco’s Bayfront Bar & Grille offers great food, a relaxing atmosphere, and premium sunset views over the water. But for Pensacola State College photography students, it also provides a unique opportunity to showcase their artistic talents.
Five nursing students from Pensacola State College have been chosen to participate in the prestigious Florida Area Health Education Center (AHEC) Scholars Program. The students — Sara Barvoza Charupe, Gretchen Connelly, Elliot Knieper, Shana Nicholas and Kailee Sharp — were selected from a competitive pool of 150 candidates statewide.
