Internationally acclaimed Cavatina Duo performs chamber music with an unconventional twist at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 10, at Pensacola State College’s Ashmore Auditorium, Building 8, on the Pensacola campus, 1000 College Blvd.
With Eugenia Moliner on flute and Denis Azabagic on guitar, Cavatina Duo is hailed for captivating audiences with their range of repertoire and risk-taking perspectives on music-making.
The husband and wife duo’s program at PSC includes works from Johann Sebastian Bach, Fernando Sor, Toru Takemitsu, and Alan Thomas, among others.
The award-winning musicians are known for their electrifying performances at major venues and festivals in France, Spain, China and India as well as U.S. cities such as Chicago, Los Angeles and Washington D.C.
In addition to performing with orchestras across the globe, Moliner and Azabagic are artists-faculty at the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University in Chicago.
Tickets are $11, general admission; $9, seniors, non-PSC students and children; $7, PSC Alumni Association, PSC Seniors Club, PSC faculty and staff; and free for PSC students with ID.
