Pensacola is a thriving community filled with warm, gracious, and caring business professionals that contribute to the success of this place they call “home.” Mary Hoxeng, co-owns ADX Communications with her husband, Dave, and is well-known for her generosity and dedication to the community. Honored for her commitment to Pensacola State College students and programs, Mary Hoxeng is quick to share her time and financial support with others.
The Hoxengs have built a radio empire that has grown from a start-up to a multi-station success. Mary serves as General Manager of Cat Country 98.7, NewsRadio 92.3, ESPN Pensacola, and Pensacola’s Playlist 94.5; her husband Dave is the Chief Financial Officer of all four stations. Together, they used their platforms to bring positive changes and have supported Pensacola State College for over two decades. Mary recently shared her reason for contributing to Pensacola State College saying, “I believe in the transformative power of education. Supporting PSC means investing in our community’s future, fostering growth, and empowering students to achieve their dreams.”
Their commitment to PSC is exemplified through the Dave & Mary Hoxeng Endowed Scholarship, established to benefit students enrolled in PSC’s Journalism program. For Mary Hoxeng, this scholarship is a way to pay it forward. She is quick to share, “When I was making choices about college many years ago, I could not afford to go to a university or go away to college; I [went] to City University in New York and got a great education…To me, that’s the support PSC offers students in the Pensacola area…Everyone can go to college, whether it’s for a trade profession or for a medical degree. Whatever they want, they can do at PSC.”
Community members who want to join Mary and Dave Hoxeng in making a meaningful difference in the lives of our students, should visit IamPSC.org to contribute.
