Volunteer and Intern Management will be the topic of Pensacola State College’s Nonprofit Center for Excellence workshop on Thursday, Sept. 7.
Kendrick Doidge, vice president of business and public relations at HCA Florida West Hospital; Josh Newby, president and CEO of the Council on Aging of West Florida; and Paula Shell, president and CEO of Big Brothers and Big Sisters, will be the trainers for the workshop set for 8 a.m.-noon in the Florida Power and Light Company Nonprofit Center Annex on the College’s Pensacola campus.
The campus is at 1000 College Blvd. The Nonprofit Center Annex is in Building 17.
The workshop will be presented in three parts. Doidge will lead the first session, “1. READY: Envision a Bold Future,” from 8:15 -9:15 a.m.
Key session concepts include:
- Identifying Organization Goals
- Utilizing the SPOT Matrix (Strengths, Problems, Opportunities, Threats)
- Creating a Vision for Transformative Engagement.
Newby will lead the “2. SET: Plan Your Strategy” session from 9:15-10:15 a.m.
Key session concepts include:
- Mapping Your Game Plan and Top Initiatives
- Building Your Strategy
- Interactive Group Activity: Quick With Identification.
Shell will lead the “3. GO: Implement Your Strategy” session from 10:30-11:45 a.m.
Key session concepts include:
- Anticipating Impacts and Challenges
- Calendaring Your Strategy
- Quarterly Sprints for Action
- Taking Your Plan Online
- Prioritizing Wellness and Balance
- Final remarks and Call to Action.
