Honoring the Public Trust will be the topic Pensacola State College Nonprofit Center for Excellence workshop on Thursday, June 1.
Set for 8 a.m.-noon in the Florida Power and Light Company Nonprofit Center Annex on the College’s Pensacola campus, Andrea Krieger, PSC executive director of Institutional Development, is the workshop trainer. The campus is located at 1000 College Blvd. The Nonprofit Center Annex is in Building 17.
The workshop will examine the effects of compromising donor trust, retaining donor trust, and honoring donor intent. Key workshop concepts include:
- Ethical standards in nonprofit versus for-profit work
- Key ethical principles for nonprofit fundraising
- Steps in establishing a transparent executive compensation process
- Nonprofit organizations and social media policies
- IRS requirements for 501(c)(3) organizations, and
- Compliance within your community.
