PSC students on each campus had the opportunity to meet PSC President Ed Meadows in person while they enjoyed pizza provided by Student Affairs. A variety of students grabbed pizza and had a seat at one of the tables to enjoy their lunches while the president walked around to say hello. Dr. Meadows said, “This is a long-standing tradition that pre-dates my presidency. I try to make the rounds and talk to students. They know that I’m here, and that if they have a question or concern, they can talk to me.” Some students, like social work student John Bowers at the Warrington campus, simply wanted to thank Dr. Meadows for providing educational opportunities to pave the way for a brighter professional future.
Dr. Meadows reflected on what he enjoys most about this event, held once each semester at each of the campuses. “Other than Pizza with the President, sporting events and commencement, the president doesn’t get a lot of one-on-one time with students…they tell you a little bit about themselves and why they’re here. We have a combination of part-time, full-time, and dual-enrolled students, so you get a bunch of different kind of students, depending on which campus you’re at. Everybody belongs.”
