Two Pensacola State College veterinary science students were placed at the 2018 HOSA National Leadership Conference held June 27-30 in Dallas.
Katherine Gaskill won third place while Christina Zaccardi placed fourth in the Postsecondary/Collegiate Event for Veterinary Science.
Designed to motivate HOSA members, the Competitive Events Program provides a system for recognizing the competencies developed by members through health science and biomedical science class instruction, related job training and HOSA-related activities.
“These young women exemplify the best of an amazing group of veterinary students at Pensacola State,” said Jennifer Ponson, coordinator of Student and Program Outreach, and a HOSA Region I advisor. “We are so proud of their leadership and professionalism.”
