Pensacola State College’s Theatre Department will present the charming 2017 jukebox musical, “Escape to Margaritaville,” on Oct. 20-22 and 27-29.
Based on the music of the late Jimmy Buffett, the production will be staged in Ashmore Auditorium, Building 8, on the Pensacola campus at 1000 College Blvd. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 2:30 p.m. on Sundays.
“Escape to Margaritaville” revolves around a part-time bartender and singer who falls for a career-minded tourist. The show also features the original song, “Three Chords.”
Greg Garcia and Mike O’Malley co-wrote the book, “Escape to Margaritaville,” and the show premiered on Broadway in 2018. A national tour launched in 2019.
All seats are reserved. Tickets are $16 for adults, $9 for senior citizens and non-PSC students, and $7 for PSC employees. Pensacola State students will be admitted free but must get tickets from the Ashmore Auditorium Ticket Office.
