Liam, 14, worked in Institutional Research, Workday Solutions, Enterprise Solutions and the Marketing Department’s Web Team.
The Feb. 6-9 internship was part of a Montessori School program where students enter the local workforce for a few days.
His favorite experience at the College?
“Mr. Neil Gonzales,’’ Liam said, referring to PSC’s Director of Institutional Research. “He made me think critically and asked about my interests. He is a nice person.”
Liam is a computer expert who understands coding and programming languages such as JavaScript, SQL, Python and more. He started learning computer coding at age 5 and even went to a coding camp when he was 6.
An avid gamer, Liam also plays trumpet. He’s still determining what high school he will attend.
Michael Johnston, PSC Associate Vice President of Institutional Research and Enterprise Solutions, said the College was “thrilled to allow a young student like Liam the chance to rotate between departments in this experiential learning opportunity.”
“I believe internships and experiential programs are invaluable for a student to experience,’’ Johnston said. “These experiences allow a student to identify and navigate their pathway – they have some of the tools to make a choice about future life goals and opportunities.”
