In the PSC Benefits Committee meeting on Friday, September 13, Human Resources Director Tammy Henderson and team discussed state insurance for full-time employees, effective January 1, 2025. Employees from all campuses were invited to attend the 2:00 p.m. meeting at the Pensacola campus library to learn more about the upcoming changes to their benefits.
At the start of the meeting, Director of Facilities, Planning and Construction Diane Bracken was nominated for and accepted as the Chair of the Benefits Committee. “Next time, I’ll sit in the back row,” joked Bracken as she agreed to the position. Once that committee agenda item was handled, the Human Resources team presented current benefits and upcoming state benefits changes to attendees.
Anita Kovacs, Tammy Henderson, Quantae McCutchen, Val Martinez and Michael Johnston highlighted key points and processes of the new state insurance and benefits package, including changes to current health, life, vision and dental insurance options as well as FSA/HSA, disability, and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offerings. Kovacs advised attendees to go to www.mybenefits.myflorida.com to access additional detailed information, assuring attendees there will be more discussion to follow in the upcoming weeks.
