Communication Professor Narla Zinermon addresses the art of effective listening at Pensacola State College’s Book Talk at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, at the Chadbourne Library, Building 20, on the Pensacola campus, 1000 College Blvd.
The public is welcome to this free, informal event. A question and answer session follows Zinermon’s presentation, “Can You H.E.A.R. Me Now? An Acronym for Listening Well.”
During her Book Talk, Zinermon gives examples of the importance of hearing, the difference between hearing and listening, and how listening well can improve the quality of conversations and enhance relationships.
Zinermon joined the PSC English and Communications faculty in 1995 and teaches several courses, including Interpersonal Communication and Public Speaking.
She is a member of the college’s selective Academy of Teaching Excellence and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and a master’s degree from the University of West Florida.
