The Pensacola Guitar Ensemble performs a free, classical concert at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, March 18, at Pensacola State College’s Ashmore Fine Arts Auditorium on the Pensacola campus, 1000 College Blvd.
The public is welcome and the doors open at 7 p.m. No tickets are required.
Under the direction of adjunct instructor Marco Villa, the guitar ensemble is composed of students at Pensacola State College and the University of West Florida.
The spring recital includes works from a variety of composers, such as Leo Brouwer, Claude Debussy, Heiter Villa-Lobos, Agustín Barrios Mangoré, Fernando Sor, Matteo Carcassi, Francisco Tárrega, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and Johann Sebastian Bach.
Performing in the recital are PSC students Peg Barrett, Dylan Williams, Patrick Kinnell, and Connor Bond. Also performing is UWF student Ryan Etheredge.
