State students returned to campus this week, many figuring out where to park and looking for their classrooms for this new semester.
The PSC Student Engagement and Leadership team, led by Coordinator Chandler White, was out in full force to assist students with whatever they needed. Set up at Welcome Week tables at each campus, the team provided coffee and hot cocoa to warm them up on the chilly days of January.
“Not only did these stations offer a warm and friendly atmosphere, but they also served as an opportunity to introduce them to the wide range of events organized by PSC Student Engagement, as well as the student life community that we strive to offer for our students,” said White.
Amongst the Pirates who benefited from this information, Kirstin Muraski, a first-year sonography student, said, “I’m nervous but excited. I’m looking forward to getting through the semester stress-free!”
Meanwhile, student Miracle Bulow felt a bit more comfortable on the opening days of this spring semester. Taking some time to get in a game of pool at the PSC campus student center, this second-year business entrepreneurship student said, “I’m looking forward to stability and organization this semester.”
Confident that student Pirates felt supported as they began this new semester, White affirmed, “Welcome Week was a major success, with students enjoying the hot chocolate and coffee provided across the different campuses.”
Student Engagement is excited to continue this tradition with an upcoming coffee and hot chocolate event at the Warrington campus on Jan. 21 in Bldg. 3200a.
