Pensacola State, Florida State University Panama City, sign articulation agreement

Pensacola State College and Florida State University Panama City administrators have partnered to make it easier for PSC students to transfer to the university.

The articulation agreement,  Direct Connect ─ Pensacola State College to FSU Panama City, will allow Pensacola State students easier access to the university’s four-year bachelor’s degree programs.

The articulation agreement also includes a reverse transfer clause that will allow Pensacola State students who have not completed all necessary courses for an associate in arts degree to transfer to FSU Panama City and complete those remaining A.A. degree courses at that campus. Once these courses are completed, the student is officially awarded the A.A. degree from Pensacola State College.

PSC receives $1.3 million grant for Veterans Upward Bound program

Pensacola State College has received a $1.3 million grant from the U.S. Department of Education to renew its Veterans Upward Bound (VUB) program for the next five years. This program assists 130 veterans per year as they gain skills needed to enter college and become successful students.

The program at Pensacola State is currently the only VUB program in Florida and is one of only 49 federally funded TRIO Veterans Upward Bound programs in the country.
