From the Pensacola News Journal: If a book can be judged by its cover, then the verdict for “Hurricane Review” will have to wait until Nov. 30. Its chief editor, Jamey Jones, is keeping the annual volume of prose and poetry under wraps until its official release that evening.
For a second consecutive year, winners of the 2017 Walter F. Spara Writing Competition focused on social issues. The outstanding writers were recognized at an awards reception on Wednesday, Nov. 15, in the Anna Lamar Switzer Center.
Updated Wednesday, January 22, 2:00 p.m. - Pensacola State College will remain closed Friday, January 24th. All offices are closed and all on-campus classes and activities are cancelled. Online classes and synchronous online classes are not cancelled, and will continue as usual. Essential personnel contacted by their supervisor should report as directed. The libraries, writing lab, and math lab will reopen Sunday, January 26th and all on-campus activities will resume Monday, January 27th.
