As an institution accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), Pensacola State College (PSC) identifies, evaluates, and publishes goals and outcomes for student achievement appropriate to the institution’s mission the nature of the students it serves, and the kinds of programs offered. Pensacola State College uses College data from prior years, and baseline data from state and national reports, to establish thresholds and student achievement goals and uses this information to identify measures for student achievement.

Gateway courses are the first courses that provide transferable, college-level credit, allowing a student to progress in his or her program of study and align with a student’s academic pathway. Gateway courses are broken down into two categories: Communications and Mathematics. Specific gateway courses are ENC 1101, MAC 1105, MGF 1106, MGF 1107, and STA 2023. The College defines gateway course success as earned course grades of A, B, and C.
