Minimum Qualifications:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree in systems science, telecommunications, or related field, and four years full-time progressively responsible experience in networking and/or telecommunications. The successful results of a criminal background check are required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience managing telecommunications networks; and experience managing a college campus wide-area network infrastructure with Cisco enterprise level equipment, complete wireless coverage, multiple VLANS and phone/network integration including analog, digital, cell, and VoIP networks. SALARY RANGE: $38,160.00 - $65,000.00 (Depending on the qualifications, the salary is negotiable.) FRINGE BENEFITS: The value of the benefits package provided by the College is nearly 36% of the base salary and includes major medical insurance, life insurance and Florida retirement contributions. Supplemental life, dental, vision, and disability insurance are available at group rates. Other benefits offered include tuition waivers, educational opportunities, and paid sick and annual leave. Duties:The Director, Network and Telecommunications is a 12-month administrative position with an anticipated start date of December 9, 2013 but a different start date may be negotiated. The Director, Network and Telecommunications will provide administrative and professional direction for the overall network infrastructure and telecommunications environment, and provide highly responsible technical work in the oversight, set up, and support of state-of-the-art network and communications systems. In addition, the Director will plan and budget for adequate capacity in terms of staffing and funding to meet current and projected demands for network and telecommunications services; perform system analysis of network performance to ensure optimum efficiency and capacity for growth; assist with the installation, configuration, and administration of district-wide data network; supervise network systems and telecommunications personnel; and administer maintenance agreements, training programs, and other technical support by equipment contractors for telephone network equipment and cellular telephone equipment. The College is seeking a seasoned technical leader who has the demonstrated ability to provide disciplined and inspired leadership with experience in building and running high performance network and telecommunication infrastructure and operations teams. The ideal candidate should possess a thorough knowledge of industry leaders, partner technologies, emerging industry trends and best practices. This position reports to the Executive Director, Information Technology Services.
Salary:$38,160.00 - $65,000.00 (Depending on the qualifications, the salary is negotiable.)
