OST1100 Keyboarding I
There are no corequisites for this course.
||This course includes continued emphasis on building keyboard speed
and accuracy, developing communication skills, and refining the
technical aspects of formatting acceptable business correspondence.
Work on tables, letters, memos, reports, newsletters, and forms will
result in a more efficient production level. (Open exit.)
|Program Learning Outcomes:
Upon course completion, the student will be able to:
- To design attractive documents with visual content.
- To create merged documents with labels.
- To enhance report formats with design elements that add
structure, provide a consistent image, and increase readability.
- To organize content effectively with tables and lists.
- To enhance the appearance of documents with themes, backgrounds,
SmartArt graphics, pictures/clip art, and Word Art.

To achieve these learning outcomes, the following will be
- Key advanced level business style communications, such as
letters with special features.
- Key long reports with endnotes and bibliographic citations.

||Evaluation of student progress towards achieving the stated learning

|Student Email Accounts
