||This nursing course introduces the nursing student to client care
needs: safe effective care environment, health promotion and
maintenance, psychosocial integrity, and physiological integrity.
Client care needs, professional behaviors, communication, clinical
decision-making, caring interventions, teaching and learning,
collaboration, and managing care activities form the integrated
framework for clinical practice in long term and acute care settings.

DOSAGES AND SOLUTIONS TEST:
Students are required to take the Dosages and Solutions Test as a
measure for program progression. To successfully pass this test,
students must achieve a score of 90% or better within two attempts.
The student's score on this test does NOT count toward the student's
course grade, but it is a requirement to progress to the next

|Methods of Evaluation:
||Evaluation of the student's level of success in meeting the course
objectives and expected learning outcomes is the responsibility of
the instructor, within the policies of Pensacola State College and
the Nursing Department. Competency will be measured through in-class
exams and other graded assignments, safe/satisfactory completion of
lab/skills competencies, and safe/satisfactory clinical performance

|| It is the intention of the instructor to accomplish the objectives specified in the course syllabus. However, circumstances may arise which prohibit the fulfilling of this endeavor. |Student Email Accounts
||Pensacola State College provides an institutional email account to all credit students. Pirate Mail is the official method of communication, and students must use Pirate Mail when communicating with the College. In cases where companion software is used for a particular class, emails may be exchanged between instructor and student using the companion software.
