| Course Learning Outcomes: |
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
1. Explain basic accounting terminology and concepts,
2. Prepare, analyze, and interpret finanical statements for both for
profit and not for profit organizations.
3. Calculate financial ratios as tools for the analysis of financial
performance,
4. Prepare and explain an operating budget and a capital expense
budget,
5. Discuss the relationships existing between planning, directing,
budgeting, and establishing financial controls.
6. Demonstrate ethical practices and discuss their significance in
establishing a viable financial management strategy, and
7. Intergrate concepts from other bachelor of applied science
courses.
