Catalog Description: |
The study of accounting terminology, concepts, techniques, methods,
principles, practices and procedures as applied to sole
proprietorships. Typical financial transactions are analyzed in
relation to basic accounting equation and recorded in the books of
the business. Business financial statements are prepared and
interpreted by the student. |

Upon successful completion of the program students will:
Analyze business activities and record accounting transactions
using journal entries with equal debits and credits.
Analyze general ledger accounts and prepare necessary end-of-
period adjusting entries.
Prepare an income statement, statement of owners/stockholder's
equity, and balance sheet.
Prepare a statement of cash flows.
Demonstrate competency in utilizing accounting software to
complete the accounting process.

Student Email Accounts: |
